How to Set Up a Calibrated Time-Based Dispense on an ALX-ELITE Chemical Controller

The ALX-ELITE chemical allocation controller helps ensure accurate dispense measurements for products such as chemicals, cleaning agents, and other liquids. Using time-based calculations the unit is able to calibrate the amount of time it will need to run to dispense a specific volume. The following video and instructions will review how to do this using the ALX-ELITE's Calibrated Time dispense feature and how to get the best results to ensure the correct volume is dispensed and is recorded accurately.

How to Calibrate a Device

1. Log in as an administrator

2. Select a device from the list and press ENTER.

3. Use the ↓ key to select Edit Calibration and press ENTER.

   1. NOTE: Devices that are configured as a Piston Pump cannot be calibrated.

4. Determine which dispense hose will flow liquid when the Device output is turned on.

5. Arrange a container to catch the liquid.

   1. TIP: Use a container with volume markings!

6. Select Cal Point 1 and press ENTER.

7. Decide on an approximate target volume for the calibration point and press the START key.

   1. TIP: For best accuracy, choose a volume target that is at least half the amount of the largest volume of the chemical to be dispensed in an Application

      1. Example: if your largest recipe will dispense 5 gal. make your target 2.5 gal. or less.

8. When the liquid in the container gets close to your target, press the STOP key.

9. Take an accurate measurement of the amount dispensed and enter the Volume and Units on the screen.

10. Empty the jug and replace it to begin the measurement for the 2nd calibration value

11. Select Cal Point 2 and press ENTER.

12. Decide on an approximate target volume for the calibration point and press the START key.

    1. TIP: For best accuracy, choose a volume target that is at least equal to the amount of the largest volume of the chemical to be dispensed in an Application (if possible, greater than)

       1. Example: if your largest recipe will dispense 5 gal. make your target 5 gal. or more.

13. When the liquid in the container gets close to your target, press the STOP key.

14. Take an accurate measurement of the amount dispensed and enter the Volume and Units on the screen.

15. Press ESC to exit.
